SOLO SOKOS HOTEL TORNI
Helsinki's own skyscraper reopens more resplendent than ever.
One of Helsinki's most recognisable landmarks, Solo Sokos Hotel Torni, which was completed in 1931, reopened in April 2022 after an extensive renovation. Modelled on the American skyscrapers of the 1920s, Torni was the first building in Finland with electricity and some of the rooms even had en suite bathrooms, which was unheard of at the time.
Hotel Torni has reopened after more than two years of renovation and it is more resplendent than ever. It features unique and striking interiors, personal service and attractive restaurants, designed to make it S Group's most upscale hotel.
The interior design of the rooms of the renovated Torni is the handiwork of Studio Joanna Laajisto. The elegantly understated rooms exude harmony, making it easy to relax amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
Torni also offers a luxurious sleeping environment: each room is equipped with Familon’s continental bed with a viscoelastic top mattress that perfectly moulds to the body.
